“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Mary Oliver
Hi there. My name is Emma and I call Northern California home. Before all else, I am a writer. I am also a yoga devotee, avid reader, auntie, and constant seeker.
In February of 2015 I gave up drinking, a decision that changed my life in ways I never dreamed possible. Now one of my dreams is to share the crazy ride that has followed my decision, to offer my ups and downs as fuel for others. But I wouldn’t necessarily call this a sober blog. Rather, it is a blog about living a wild, free life. For me, that has stemmed from a life free of alcohol. For you, that could mean something different — it’s whatever puts you in the driver’s seat of your life.
A wild, free life is aiming to live free from insecurity and anxiety, to live a life wild with possibility and wonder. It is about giving up what no longer serves you and opening yourself up to the unknown. It is about the beauty of “failure,” starting over, and honoring the journey, no matter where it leads you.
I wish you a wild, free life.
